Good Day Sunshine!
It is the warmest interweb-y hug when talented bloggers nominate me for awards. It makes me feel like maybe, juuuust maybe, my writing is entertaining for a few of you.
Thank you Nikki, at A Kinder Way, for nominating me this morning. You’ve got to check out her blog if you don’t already read it. As the name suggests, she’s all about spreading kindness, and I don’t know if she even realizes that she brings people together and promotes community and friendship through her blog. She’s clearly a great person and her blog is fun to read through.
THE RULES:
1. Answer the eleven questions from the blogger who nominated you.
2. Nominate up to eleven wonderful bloggers and write eleven questions for them to answer.
Questions For Me
- What is something you’re afraid of that most people are not?
Oh, man. I’m slowly writing about my random fears. One is that I’ll get the hiccups forever. My 7th grade science teacher told us that sometimes people just one day get the hiccups and they never go away. What if that’s me?? - If I looked at your wardrobe what would I think your fav color is?
Hmm… I was going to say blue, because I know that was the case once upon a time. But now it might actually be coral or black and white. - Last show you binge watched?
I haven’t binged on Netflix for a long time, even though I really want to watch Kimmy Schmidt, but I just re-discovered Friends on cable last week. It is on allthetime!! It makes me happy. 🙂
Oh! Lies… I did recently binge on Fuller House! Full House fans totally get it. ❤ - Favorite fruit and veggie?
Watermelon, avocado, potatoes, mangoes… I think those are the main ones, but potatoes are number one on the list. Oh boy. ::droooool:: - What’s your sign baby? Does it fit?
Oh, hey, baby, hai. How you doing’? I am a virgo. I understand that this means that I’m a perfectionist and that’s pretty much true. That’s all that I know about Virgos. - How long have you been blogging?
Welp, back in the day I had one that was basically just surveys and a diary for my friends to read on Xanga. That was just for fun and lasted for a few years. I tried out one other blog years ago that I wasn’t good at keeping up because I didn’t really have a purpose for it. I started this here blog at the end of March 2016 and intend to keep it up! - What would you do if you knew you would not fail?
A reality show with The Cousin I always mention. I actually would probably hate being all famous and unable to go anywhere without being recognized. But if we had a reality show for the sake of entertaining people and used our celebrity platform for good things, not to show our rumps, I’d like it for a year or two. - Dream vacation?
Bali. Because Eat, Pray, Love. - Camping or fancy hotel?
This is a very hard decision for me to make. Typically, I would probably say fancy hotel, I’ll be honest. But I haven’t gone camping for so long that I’d like to go again. So right now, at this minute, I’m going to say camping. - Do you collect anything?
Apparently emoji pillows. I, um, have five. It’s getting out of control

- What was your fave subject in school?
I believe English, Art, and Social Studies were the favorites for most of my schooling career before college. I was a nerdle and loved doing my homework for those classes.
Bonus: I once corrected a syntax error in an English test. No one else even noticed, so it didn’t even matter. That’s how nerdy Iwasam. Also, we discussed the perfectionist virgo thing.
My Questions:
- How did you come up with the name of your blog?
- What is your favorite blog post that you’ve written?
- What made you decide to start your blog?
- What is your favorite GIF and why?
- What is your favorite meme and why?
- What was the last text that you sent and received?
- What actor should play the role of you in your Lifetime Movie?
- Where’s the most unique place you’ve visited? Interpret this however you feel (e.g., a tunnel under grandma’s house, the world’s largest frying pan, or a tiny town 15 miles away).
- How do you eat an Oreo?
- What was the worst haircut you ever got?
- What is a word that you have difficulty saying OR people think you say strangely?
And the nominees are:
There’s no pressure to accept the award. I simply really enjoy your blogs because they are a piece of sunshine on the sometimes gloomy interweb (sorry Bitter Ben, it’s true). Thanks for sharing your talent, bloggy friends!
Tune in tomorrow for Part 2!
Awesome answers! Thank you for he kind words and you can count me as reader that finds you not just funny but hilarious! 🙂 Keep those posts coming.

Thank you so much, Nikki. 😀
I honestly thought I’d be lucky if my mom and maybe three strangers read this. I’m so happy that the blog is making lots of folks out there laugh. 😀

I would love to get some emoji pillows. Do they have a bitter emoji collection? And again, thanks for the nomination.

Thanks for writing strictly for my entertainment!
I don’t own this pillow, but it looks pretty bitter…

It is pretty hard to write for one person’s entertainment, but I get paid pretty well for it. I’ve only been waiting for my check for four years, but when it comes, that is gonna be a sweet payday!

I’m especially flattered that you started writing just for my entertainment four years before I came across Word Press. Ten dollars a yearrrr… Forty dollars minus some taxes… You could probably take the family out for a delicious meal at Burger King! Keep writing!

Yeah, it has been a lot of work to get to just the right point in my blog, just so I could do it for your amusement. But the hard work is finally paying off, because a Whopper is starting to sound really good right now!

Congratulations and thank you for the nomination! Fabulous answers! I’m married to a Virgo and it is so convinced when something needs to be organised. He is an expert! Hiccups forever??? Yeah that would suck! It’s an actual medical condition I think.

I saw Eat Pray Love, but the ONLY thing I remember about it is the scene where she’s in Naples (I think) and she bites into a delicious-looking pizza with delicious-looking fresh mozzarella on top. Leave it to me to remember a food scene 🙂
Also – I love your emoji pillows! I didn’t even know they existed until a couple weeks ago, and here you are with five. So far ahead of the game!

I *am* pretty trendy, it’s true. 😀
K… if I’m asked to choose only one part of the book/movie to live — Eat, Pray, or Love — I would definitely choose Eat. It looked amaaaaazing. And everyone I know who visits Italy says it is the most delicious place *ever*. But in the book, she describes Bali in a way that the movie can’t even begin to show, and I just have to visit it now.

If I had money to take a fabulous vacation, I would definitely keep the deliciousness level of the local food in mind. That’s a lie – I wouldn’t just “keep it in mind” – it would be the driving point of my decision.
I may have to check out the book to see what Bali’s all about!

Good point. There are two things that I like to do on vacation: EAT, and swim/lay on a floaty thing in water.
I don’t need shopping, I don’t need drinks. Just buckets of food and water so my newly gained fat can float. So I might need to rethink my answer, because I don’t actually remember why Bali sounded great.
